hi friends, there is a super typhoon (category 4) forecast to hit Luzon tomorrow morning, and Metro Manila is still recovering from the last one. everyone is in preparation mode, stockpiling noodles and soap and drinking water. the place I live is south of Manila, in Laguna province, and it’s not supposed to be as bad here, but we are charging all our electronic devices and doing everything we can to be ready for another storm. there are 500,000 people who have been displaced, living in evacuation centers in schools and churches, and the relief efforts are spread really thin. I am so thankful to have a safe place, but I am mindful of so many who are in such a dire situation. this storm could be devastating to them. I will update as much as I can, but who knows what will happen with internet access and things like that. in the meantime, please pray.
