I’m going to the bars again tonight…I will do this probably 2 or 3 more times, and then I will be done here.  my internship will be complete in two weeks (which is crazy because that means I’m officially done with all my requirements for grad school!) and I will no longer live here. I will be embarking on a crazy adventure of travel following the most nonsensical itinerary: India to visit friends for a week, then Thailand to debrief at Cornerstone Counseling Center, then back to the Philippines for a few days.  then I fly to Australia, where I will stay with my friend and help out at HOPE Foundation for 5 weeks. back to the Philippines for a couple more days, then up to South Korea to see another friend, before coming back to Manila to fly home to Seattle.  even though it’s all over the place, I’m really looking forward to being in each of these places, with each of these people.

but before that, I have to say goodbye to these dear girls and the fantastic staff at RENEW.  I am hopeful that I will find ways to express to them how meaningful this experience has been for me, in spite of the pain.  we are having a big goodbye party on Feb 27, complete with videoke and Filipino spaghetti.  :) I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure it will be emotional, and I’m sure it will be beautiful.
